Experiment 3: The Bridge -- Final Submission

Clients: Facebook and Coca-Cola

Valley: Taroko National Park, Taiwan

Five real time captures:

This shot of the two headquarters and the bridge, within the terrain. The coca cola company is seen relative larger than Facebook, conveying the idea that it is dominant and has a greater sense of influence and confidence. The large red dome in the middle of coca cola is symbolic of its boldness and giant power base. In addition the curvy bridge figure implies that power is in a constant state of flux.
This low angle shot of the Facebook headquarters highlights its sense of power and stability as each element is highly intact and solid suggesting a sense of security and responsibility over the users inside. The light further portrays the Facebook sign as a god-like figure.
This shows the dining table as a meeting point for the clients of Facebook and Coca cola. It is relatively wide and spread out, to reflect the idea that power can shift from side to side. The meeting area suggests that the best way of sustaining power is to unite and work together to create something great, with the table symbolic of the uniting of powerful individuals.

This is a wide angle shot of the headquarters and terrain. It shows that in order for power to thrive we must connect with those around us, ie. an sense of engagement to the landscape. This is seen in the curving of the bridge, and the abstract roofing structure of coca cola to complement the roughness and rawness of the valley.
This is a view of the Coca Cola headquarters from the Facebook elevator. The machine gun taking aim at Coca-Cola, reflects the way in which Facebook is often subtle and discreet, while its power base slowly grows. It shows power as being manipulative and cunning in nature.
